About The Position

As a Fresh Cut Produce Clerk, you prepare fresh fruits and vegetables by slicing, dicing, and packaging produce. You check produce for freshness, maintain clean and organized preparation areas, and create attractive displays. The role also includes assisting with inventory management, restocking, and customer service. It is active and fast-paced and involves working with food in a team-oriented environment.

This is an entry-level position with advancement opportunity. Starting rates are no less than the local minimum wage and may vary by location, experience, qualifications, and applicable collective bargaining agreements. Requirements

• Prior experience in grocery, food service, or produce preparation is preferred.
• Comfort using knives and other preparation tools safely and precisely.
• Ability to identify quality produce and follow food safety and handling guidelines.
• Friendly and helpful customer-service approach and clear communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized workspace.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds, with or without accommodation.
• Willingness to support fellow associates and contribute to a positive store culture.
