Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
Safe Food Handling Certificate will be required upon hire.
Must be comfortable working with different types of equipment such as scales, knives, pricing equipment, step ladders, etc.
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, have good manual dexterity and lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to work regularly in cooler temperatures due to products in department.
Must be able to work around hot temperatures associated with the preparation of hot foods.
Must be available to work days, evenings, and weekends.

Nice To Haves

1-2 years food preparation experience would be an asset.
Co-operative retail experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

Provide an exceptional level of customer service and maintain a safe and efficient operation while adhering to all Discovery Co-op, industry, and governmental policies, procedures, and standards, including meeting established productivity standards.
Responsible for the safe handling and preparation of raw and/or cooked chicken for Chester’s Chicken menu items in the C-Store, including cleaning, cutting/trimming, displaying, pricing, packaging and serving customers.
Performs general housekeeping duties, assisting team members when necessary, and any other duties as assigned.
