Remote French Teacher (Part-Time) – Adult Learners | Virtual Language Platform
About The Position
IMMERSE is a language learning platform that helps adults build real-world fluency through live instruction and immersive technology. We are seeking experienced French and English or Spanish language instructors to teach communicative lessons for adult learners using our immersive language learning platform. Learners practice French and English or Spanish in realistic environments such as meeting rooms, cafés, and workplace scenarios, helping them build confidence speaking French and English or Spanish for professional and everyday communication. This role is ideal for instructors who enjoy working closely with adult learners, facilitating meaningful conversation, and using innovative teaching technology.
Requirements
- BA in French, English, or Spanish Language, Education, Applied Linguistics, or closely related field OR Bachelor's degree + French and/or English/Spanish teaching certification and extensive teaching experience
- 2+ years of structured French and English or Spanish language teaching experience
- Experience teaching adult learners in group settings of 8 or more
- Strong foundation in communicative or task-based language teaching
- Demonstrated ability to develop speaking and listening skills intentionally
- Advanced French and English or Spanish proficiency (C1 CEFR or ACTFL Advanced High)
- If teaching French and Spanish (not English), minimum B2-level English proficiency is required.
- Comfortable using technology and learning new platforms
- Organized, reliable, and professional
