About The Position

Under the supervision of the Associate Director, New Student Experience, the French Programming Program Assistant coordinates peer-led French Language learning opportunities activities during the fall and winter semesters, allowing students to practice their French while building connections on-campus and in Montreal. This will include planning and carrying out different activities including cultural visits, French-language volunteer placements, seasonal and community events and French Lunch conversation Events while promoting social connection and a sense of community.

Requirements

Currently registered as a full-time student in any degree program at McGill University
Will be a returning student in Fall 2026
Excellent French, spoken and written, with knowledge of grammatical terms and ability to provide some linguistic explanations
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Demonstrated attention to detail and time management skills
Reliable, Ability to be focused on results, yet flexible to improve the student experience.
Organized and professional
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Authorized to work in Canada
Willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based / located.
High School Diploma
2 Years Related Experience
Level #3 (advanced) English proficiency for both written and oral communication on a scale of 0-4.
