About The Position

As a Freight Sales Executive, you will be responsible for identifying and acquiring new business opportunities in the freight and logistics sector, managing client relationships, and meeting or exceeding sales targets. This role involves proactive sales activities, developing and presenting solutions to clients, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure service excellence.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and developing new business.

  • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales, preferably within the freight, logistics, or transportation industry.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and target potential clients in the freight and logistics industry through research, networking, and market analysis.
  • Generate leads through cold calling, email campaigns, social media outreach, and attending industry events and trade shows.
  • Develop and execute strategies to acquire new clients, presenting tailored freight solutions to meet their specific needs.
  • Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations, effectively communicating the value proposition of the company's freight services.
  • Negotiate terms and close sales contracts with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, serving as their primary point of contact for freight services.
  • Consult with clients to understand their logistics requirements and challenges.
  • Develop and propose customized freight solutions that align with client needs and company capabilities.
  • Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure the successful implementation and optimization of freight solutions.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to achieve or exceed sales targets.
  • Prepare sales forecasts and reports, tracking progress and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing client inquiries and resolving any issues related to freight services.
  • Handle and resolve any service issues or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including operations, logistics, and customer service, to ensure seamless delivery of freight solutions.
  • Contribute to team goals and initiatives, sharing insights and best practices to support overall sales success.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and contract details.
  • Ensure all sales activities and client contracts comply with company policies and industry regulations.
