About The Position

Gordon Food Service is seeking a Freight Handler to join their Receiving Team at the Distribution Center located at 7770 Kensington Ct., Brighton MI 48116. The role involves safely removing pallets of product from trailers, breaking down product for correct pallet configuration, separating inbound freight by item code onto good pallets, ensuring damaged product is properly accounted for and not received into inventory, and verifying the structural integrity of pallets. No prior experience is required as training will be provided.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Ability to work in extreme cold or hot conditions (-25F to 100F) is required.
Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage and a background check.

Nice To Haves

Prior warehouse experience preferred, but not required.
