About The Position
This position is responsible for maintaining freight inventory by inspecting and verifying freight label information, processing store orders by pulling merchandise, stacking it onto pallets, and transporting it using manual or power equipment. The role also involves maintaining freight inventory by inspecting for damage and misplacement, and keeping records, logs, and forms. Responsibilities
- Maintain freight inventory through inspecting and verifying correct freight label information (vendor stock number, description) comparing label to freight contents or reports (label control) and placing labels in appropriate area on freight.
- Process store orders through pulling merchandise using computer generated labels, stacking onto pallets and transporting manually (pallet jack) or using power equipment.
- Maintain freight inventory by inspecting freight for damage and misplacement (ie strays).
- Maintain records, logs, and forms.
