About The Position

CrossCountry Freight Solutions (CCFS) is hiring Freight Handlers for a safety-sensitive warehouse position. This role involves loading and unloading freight from trailers using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and handcarts. Freight Handlers are trained and certified to operate safety-sensitive equipment efficiently. CCFS aims for universal prosperity with its Customers, Company, Team Members, and Communities, utilizing the latest technology to provide quality service and on-time delivery across the Western and Central United States.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds
• Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to ninety (90) pounds
• At least six (6) months of verifiable forklift experience
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Successful completion of a pre-employment skills assessment

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload trailers utilizing forklifts, pallet jacks, and/or hand cart
• Use handheld scanners to efficiently track and document freight through our network
• Accurately identify, sticker, and stage inbound freight
• Verify the condition of freight to assure quality standards
• Other duties as assigned
