About The Position

The Freight Flow Associate is responsible for managing inventory flow, stocking, and organizing merchandise and supplies. This role involves operating a forklift, ensuring the safety and presentation of the sales floor, and providing excellent customer service. The associate will also be involved in fulfilling club pickup orders and maintaining inventory accuracy. This position emphasizes teamwork, integrity, and a commitment to continuous improvement, aligning with Walmart's values and goals.

Requirements

  • 90 days of prior experience with Forklift Certification.
  • Ability to safely utilize pallet jacks.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

  • Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Operates a forklift safely to move and position merchandise pallets.
  • Receives, stocks, and organizes merchandise and supplies.
  • Manages inventory flow, utilizing equipment appropriately, and correcting inventory exceptions.
  • Provides member service by acknowledging needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, and resolving issues.
  • Maintains the safety of the facility by conducting sweeps, following safety procedures, and reporting unsafe situations.
  • Maintains the sales floor and merchandising presentation according to company policies.
  • Ensures club pickup orders are filled accurately and staged properly.
  • Handles, moves, and displays goods in safe and correct ways.
  • Tracks goods, maintains instock levels, and controls shrinkage.
  • Operates and maintains forklifts in safe and correct ways.
  • Proactively identifies and assists customers with technology services and items.
  • Identifies and fixes shrink opportunities and problems with products, services, and work areas.
  • Properly maintains equipment and ensures products are organized and stocked in correct ways.
  • Works as a team, builds strong relationships, and communicates effectively.
  • Helps, develops, and mentors others, recognizing contributions and accomplishments.
  • Maintains and promotes the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and compliance.
