About The Position

SPS Global is seeking a dependable and service-oriented Freight Driver / Mover to support local transportation, freight handling, and shipping operations. This role is responsible for safely transporting mail, packages, and freight between office locations while maintaining operational accuracy, chain-of-custody procedures, and exceptional customer service standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a logistics-focused environment, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and is comfortable supporting warehouse, dock, and office services operations as needed. The Freight Driver / Mover provides delivery, freight, and courier support by receiving dispatch orders, retrieving parcels and mail from local offices, and transporting items safely and efficiently using company vehicles such as small box trucks, vans, or jeeps. This role also supports shipping and receiving operations, locker deliveries, and dock logistics while serving as a backup resource for front and back office functions when needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Must be at least 25 years old to meet fleet insurance requirements
  • Driver’s license must have remained current for the last 5 years
  • Strong computer proficiency including logistics tracking systems, scheduling software, Excel/Numbers, and Word/Pages
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, and reach overhead as required

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience in a mail facility, freight company, warehouse, moving company, or related environment
  • Professional driving or courier service experience
  • Experience with BearTracks or similar logistics tracking software
  • Forklift and warehouse equipment experience
  • Experience in loading dock or warehouse operations

Responsibilities

  • Transport mail, freight, and packages between designated office locations using company vehicles
  • Administer shipping and receiving processes in accordance with operational procedures
  • Collect and deliver items to designated offices, lockers, docks, and central shipping locations
  • Operate internal collection and delivery routes across staffed and unstaffed facilities
  • Process incoming tracked mail using client tracking and labeling systems
  • Maintain accurate chain-of-custody procedures for inbound mail, packages, and freight
  • Log shipments using client-preferred shipping and tracking tools
  • Collect outbound shipping items and coordinate delivery to shipping teams for processing
  • Provide recipients with methods to track and manage deliveries
  • Utilize manual and powered material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts (where applicable)
  • Validate packing slips and ensure accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Support loading dock and warehouse operations as required
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to employees and clients
  • Build professional relationships with customers and internal teams
  • Maintain professionalism and composure when handling sensitive requests
  • Support operational needs proactively during downtime
