The position involves customer relations through friendly and courteous behavior, promoting high morale within the department and store through honest and open communication, and maintaining good working relationships with other department managers to improve storewide sales. The individual must comply with all company policies and directives as specified in the Code of Conduct and provide professional examples for other store team members. Key responsibilities include bagging guest purchases promptly and efficiently, carrying purchases to automobiles, filling bag slots and supplies for front-end operations, assisting with price checks and go-backs, performing general housekeeping and sweep sheet duties, and keeping the parking lot clear of carts. Safety policies regarding cart retrieval must be followed, and carts should be cleared of clutter and wiped down before being put away. Tips are not permitted and should be turned into the service desk if persisted.
