• Ability to read, follow, and accurately execute written work orders, pick lists, and shipping documents

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts including early mornings as required by operational schedule
• Executes picking, packing, and receiving tasks with a high degree of accuracy, catching and reporting discrepancies before they reach the customer or delivery route.
• Consistently follows food safety, ServSafe, and HACCP protocols — including temperature logging, proper storage, and product handling — as a non-negotiable standard of daily work.
• Shows up on time, follows through on assignments, and maintains a consistent, steady work pace that the team and operation can count on.
• Performs physical warehouse tasks including lifting, standing, and moving product throughout the workday while adhering to safe lifting techniques and all workplace safety requirements.
• Works cooperatively within the warehouse team, communicates clearly with coordinators and supervisors, and proactively flags issues, discrepancies, or concerns before they escalate.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with inventory control and FIFO practices is a plus, but not required.
• Prior warehouse or freezer experience is helpful, but not necessary.
• Prior warehouse, food production, fulfillment, or related experience preferred; will train the right candidate
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems, inventory tracking, or order management software a plus
• Previous experience in a food service, manufacturing, or cold storage environment preferred
• ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Forklift or pallet jack certification a plus

Responsibilities

• Receiving & Stocking: Receive and sign for deliveries, ensuring all counts match the receiving paperwork. Report any discrepancies or damages immediately.
• Internal Support: Deliver requested supplies to internal departments directly from the Freezer, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
• Inventory Control: Review requisitions for proper codes and approval signatures, ensuring all paperwork is correct. Maintain stock in the Freezer, ensuring proper rotation (FIFO) and checking inventory levels.
• Stock Maintenance: Regularly monitor Freezer shelves for outdated or damaged supplies, and ensure proper product storage.
• Clean & Safe Work Area: Maintain a clean, organized work environment, ensuring the area is free from debris and any signs of pest activity.
• Accurate Paperwork: Complete all related paperwork neatly and on time, ensuring accuracy with stock, requisitions, and deliveries.
• Measure & Store: Accurately measure requisitioned products according to need, return unused stock to the appropriate storage locations, and ensure proper storage protocols are followed.
