About The Position

In order to meet the translation needs of our clients, we are currently looking to expand our database of freelance linguists working from English into Acholi in the field of Life Sciences: Informed Consent Form.

Requirements

• Native level of Acholi.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Specialization in Life Sciences: Informed Consent Form.
• Acute attention to detail, spelling and grammar.
• Ability to maintain professionalism in all situations, especially under tight deadlines.
• A degree in translation, linguistics, or language studies or an equivalent degree that includes significant translation training, from a recognized institution of higher education; OR 2 years of translation experience and college degree; OR 5 years experience and no degree; or A certificate of competence in translation awarded by an appropriate government body.
• Must sign a confidentiality agreement.

Responsibilities

• Translate from English into Acholi in the field of Life Sciences, specifically Informed Consent Forms.
• Maintain acute attention to detail, spelling, and grammar.
• Maintain professionalism in all situations, especially under tight deadlines.
