About The Position

Paradium AI is seeking a temporary contract Freelance Commerce Writer to contribute to daily commerce content across its portfolio of brands, including TheStreet, Autoblog, Men’s Journal, and more. The role requires experience in creating commerce content for various lifestyle topics such as home and garden, consumer electronics, men's and women's style, sporting goods, pets, automotive accessories, and tools. Responsibilities include pitching and writing daily stories to commerce editors, with an emphasis on sourcing and writing about compelling deals in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This is a freelance position with a competitive hourly rate of $25 - $35, for an assignment duration of 90 days, starting in early October 2026.

Requirements

Experience writing high-quality commerce content that delivers service and value to readers
Extensive experience creating deals content with a track record of driving revenue and audience engagement
A strong understanding of seasonality, products and product markets and consumer trends
Knowledge of digital content best practices, like SEO (specifically E-E-A-T), AP Style, and analytics
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
Collaborative and team-oriented
Ability to write fast, without compromising accuracy, brand integrity, or voice
A sense of fun, urgency, and a can-do attitude
Bachelor’s degree in journalism/related field or a portfolio of published work

Responsibilities

Pitch daily to the commerce editorial team
Write a minimum of 4 commerce deal posts a day with the ability to pivot quickly if a more pressing priority arises
Monitor daily news/deals cycle and flag commerce opportunities
Work closely with team members on tentpole events like Prime Day and Black Friday/Cyber Monday
Build articles in the CMS cleanly and with commerce best practices in mind
