About The Position

The Franchise Business Partner serves as the primary Support Office contact for franchise owners within an assigned territory. Using established reports, tools, and operating playbooks, this role helps franchisees improve retail and pool service sales, profitability, inventory productivity, and operational execution. The role also supports product sell-in and consumer sell-through by helping franchisees plan purchases, execute promotions, and convert inventory into profitable sales.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience in multi-unit retail, service operations, franchise support, field operations, or a related role.
  • Working knowledge of store-level sales, gross margin, inventory, payroll, and profitability measures.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, organization, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to interpret performance reports and translate findings into practical next steps.
  • Ability to influence results without direct authority and balance franchisee support with accountability.
  • Specialty retail and service experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business reporting platforms.
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a consistent cadence of franchisee meetings, business reviews, field visits, and documented follow-up.
  • Reviews store financial and operating results to identify performance gaps and help franchisees implement practical improvement actions.
  • Coaches franchisees on retail operations, pool service growth, customer acquisition and retention, staffing, local marketing, and overall business execution.
  • Tracks agreed actions, monitor progress, and escalate significant or unresolved concerns to Franchise Operations leadership.
  • Coaches franchisees on the consistent execution of Pinch A Penny’s retail, pool service, customer experience, and brand standards.
  • Helps franchisees grow recurring pool service customers and strengthen coordination between retail and service operations.
  • Conducts annual Brand Standards Certification reviews and follow up on required corrective actions.
  • Supports the implementation of new products, promotions, technology, training, and other systemwide initiatives.
  • Ensures franchisees and their teams understand and execute merchandising, promotional, product knowledge, pricing, and customer engagement initiatives that support consumer sell-through.
  • Connects franchisees with the appropriate Support Office departments or approved vendor resources when specialized assistance is required.
  • Communicates relevant store-level feedback and recurring field issues to Franchise Operations leadership and other Support Office teams.
  • Participates in the transition of new locations from the New Store Operations team to ongoing Franchise Operations support.
  • Documents franchisee interactions, field visits, performance plans, and follow-up activity in designated company systems.
