About The Position

The Franchise Business Coach (FBC) prides themselves on proactively fostering and maintaining strong relationships with franchise partners. The FBC serves a pivotal role in the system, offering strategic guidance and support to franchisees to improve their operational efficiency, financial performance, and adhere to brand standards and procedures. The Franchise Business Coach leverages financial data, analysis, and reporting to identify unique opportunities for business growth and profitability within each location. The FBC is the single point of contact for franchise partners and works collaboratively with cross-departmental teams to provide enhanced services and support across multiple disciplines. This position reports to the Vice President of Franchise Performance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in business coaching, consulting, or franchise management— direct experience coaching franchisees preferred.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to read P&Ls, interpret membership and performance metrics, and translate data into coaching priorities
  • Track record of influencing outcomes — you hold people accountable with empathy, drive results without authority, and know how to motivate a franchisee who’s stuck
  • Familiarity with franchise operations, FDD requirements, and brand standards enforcement
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills — equally comfortable presenting to a room of owners or having a tough one-on-one conversation.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% for franchisee visits, new location openings and regional meetings

Responsibilities

  • Build deep, trust-based relationships with franchisees — serving as their primary advocate within the organization and their first call when challenges arise. Create an environment of open communication where franchisees feel heard, supported, and held to high standards.
  • Proactively provides one-on-one coaching and guidance to franchisees on various aspects of business operations in support of revenue growth opportunities and targets. By supporting franchisees in a proactive manner that aids in improving their business(es), the FBCs indirectly contribute to the overall growth and expansion of the franchise system.
  • Maintain a consistent cadence of structured touchpoints with each franchisee — bi-weekly, monthly, or as needed — focused on performance trends, growth planning, and brand compliance. Show up prepared, data-informed, and ready to move the needle.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, Training, and Technology teams to connect franchisees with the right resources at the right time.
  • Responsible for analyzing key metrics and financial data to evaluate the overall health and performance of the franchise network. Gathers and analyzes franchisee data, performance metrics, and financial statements to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth and increased profitability.
  • Based on defined corporate goals and current trends in the industry, define opportunities for improved success across the franchise system. This role must be able to take initiatives from early ideation to successful execution.
  • Partner with the corporate team to uphold brand standards across your portfolio, ensuring consistency in service quality, guest experience, and operational execution.
  • Address performance and compliance issues directly and constructively — diagnosing root causes, co-creating solutions with franchisees, and following through until the issue is resolved.
  • Support the design and delivery of training programs, webinars, and regional meetings that equip franchisees with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to operate at their best.
  • Assist owners with the implementation, support, and utilization of resources, providing training specific to tools that improve business processes and efficiencies as appropriate.
  • Champion franchisee development through structured performance plans, financial coaching, and accountability frameworks that build owner capability over time.
  • Lead group meetings and peer learning sessions that sharpen franchisee understanding of KPIs, drive goal-setting, and cultivate a culture of healthy competition and shared growth across the system.
