About The Position

The Frame Mill Supervisor oversees and coordinates the activities of employees involved in processing lumber, cutting parts, and preparing materials used in the construction of furniture. This position ensures production goals, quality standards, safety requirements, and operational efficiency are consistently met.

Requirements

Working knowledge of all processes, equipment, and skills required within the Frame Mill department.

Responsibilities

Review production schedules and estimate labor requirements to meet production goals.
Communicate and enforce company policies, procedures, and expectations.
Ensure compliance with all safety rules and regulations.
Interpret specifications, work instructions, and job orders for employees.
Assign daily duties and monitor employee performance.
Establish and adjust work procedures to meet production schedules and equipment capabilities.
Recommend improvements to production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through changes in work practices and equipment utilization.
Analyze and resolve production and workflow issues; assist employees in solving work-related problems.
Motivate employees to achieve productivity, quality, and performance goals.
Recommend personnel actions including promotions, transfers, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
Interview, hire, and train new employees.
Maintain accurate timekeeping and production records.
Ensure all products meet established quality standards and specifications.
Coordinate activities with other departments to support production objectives.
Maintain working knowledge of all processes, equipment, and skills required within the Frame Mill department.
Promote teamwork, continuous improvement, and a positive work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
