About The Position

The fabricator is responsible for the production of MIRATECH products and components to meet internal and customer requirements. This role requires proficiency in sheet metal fabrication techniques and methods such as shearing, rolling, sawing, plasma cutting, punching, and forming metals. The technician will also operate Waterjet and Press Break machines, prepare sheet metal for welding, and interpret blueprints and written part requirements. Key responsibilities include meeting safety, productivity, and housekeeping standards, performing process inspection and documentation, verifying parts lists, and interpreting measurements to ensure specifications are met. The role also involves cutting and shaping metals for welders and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

High School Diploma.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Experience in using electrical or manual tools (grinders, saws, squares, calipers etc.)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and heavier items with a team lift.

Nice To Haves

Ability to interpret blueprints
Prior work experience as a Metal Fabricator

Responsibilities

Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication techniques and methods such as shearing, rolling, sawing, plasma cutting, punching, and forming the metals.
Operate Waterjet and Press Break.
Prepare sheet metal for welding per specs.
To meet and/or exceed standards for safety, productivity, housekeeping, and attendance.
Interpretation of blueprints and written part requirements.
Process inspection, certification, and documentation as needed.
Read parts list and determine if all parts are present.
Interpret measurements and verify specifications.
Cut and shape metals to be prepped for the welders.
Other duties as assigned.
