About The Position
We are looking for an experienced CFO who has worked directly with business owners to help them make better financial decisions and improve business results. At HTM, our CFOs build strong relationships with business owners to have honest, practical conversations about the business's financial health. You will help owners answer critical questions about profitability, margins, cash flow, expenses, growth, and financial control. This role is not a traditional accounting role focused on closing books or producing reports. Instead, you will serve as a strategic financial partner to approximately 30 growing law firms, guiding business owners to understand their numbers, identify opportunities, make better decisions, and enhance financial performance. HTM provides clients, systems, and infrastructure, allowing you to focus on CFO work without the need for client acquisition.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience serving as a CFO
- Direct experience working with small and mid-sized business owners
- Experience advising businesses generally in the $1M–$35M+ revenue range
- Demonstrated track record of improving profitability and financial performance
- Strong understanding of pricing, margins, cash flow, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning
- Ability to translate financial information into clear, actionable recommendations for owners
- Must reside in AZ, CO, FL, GA, IL, MD, MI, NC, NJ, NY, PA, TX, VA, or WA
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- No legal industry experience is required.
