About The Position

WR has an opportunity for a Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) Programmer to perform non-routine and complex technical assignments involving the planning and execution of a complete project of relatively limited scope or a portion of a larger, more complex project. The FPGA Programmer will select and adapt plans, techniques, designs, and layouts; collaborate with personnel across related technical activities to resolve problems and coordinate work; and review, analyze, and integrate the technical work of others.

Requirements

Active Secret Clearance is required to start
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Eight (8)+ years of full-time professional, hands-on experience in the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and/or testing of major systems.

Responsibilities

Designs, develops, and constructs major units, devices, or equipment; conducts tests and experiments; analyzes results; and redesigns or modifies equipment to improve performance.
Develops designs for equipment involving complex or difficult-to-satisfy performance requirements.
Analyzes technical data to determine applicability to design problems; evaluates possible design layouts; calculates design data; and prepares layouts, detailed specifications, parts lists, estimates, procedures, and related technical documentation.
Plans or assists in planning tests to evaluate equipment performance.
Supports troubleshooting, testing, integration, and evaluation of hardware and associated systems.
Collaborates with engineering and technical personnel to resolve design, integration, and performance issues.
