About The Position

The Multi-Product Power & Digital department designs FPGA and hardware for electronic warfare, radar, and effector products. This role provides full lifecycle support for production-quality FPGA and involves generating FPGA designs, designing and coding in VHDL for reliability and maintainability, and producing complete documentation, including requirements, verification plans, and user guides. The position also involves troubleshooting electronics in lab or production environments, performing system- and circuit-level analysis, supporting failure investigations, maintaining and creating documentation, and working with multidisciplinary groups and suppliers. The role is onsite in Fort Wayne, Indiana. U.S. citizenship and an active existing DoD Secret clearance after day one are required; the candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM major.
  • Experience in one or more of the following: FPGA/ASIC design using VHDL and/or Verilog, or FPGA/ASIC verification using SystemVerilog.
  • Experience with AMD (Xilinx), Altera, and/or Microchip (Microsemi) devices and tools such as AMD Vivado, Altera Quartus Prime Pro, or Libero.
  • Hands-on experience integrating and debugging FPGA/ASIC in a lab environment.
  • Experience with source code management, design reviews, and code release in a team development environment.
  • U.S. citizenship is required because only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance; active and existing DoD Secret clearance is required after day one.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated experience with VHDL or Verilog coding, simulation, and synthesis.
  • Knowledge of electrical circuit design, analysis, and troubleshooting using common lab equipment.
  • FPGA/ASIC design experience in embedded systems using ARM, MicroBlaze, or NIOS processors.
  • FPGA/ASIC design experience with gigabit serial interfaces and multi-gigabit transceivers (MGTs).
  • Experience with constrained-random verification in UVM using SystemVerilog.
  • Experience with High Level Synthesis (HLS).
  • Experience with vector processors and/or GPUs.
  • Experience with timing closure, clock-domain crossing and reset-domain crossing analysis, and constraint development.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead design efforts and/or small teams.
