About The Position

This role requires knowledge and skills beyond that of an Operator, focusing on troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and ensuring work meets production and quality standards. The Team Member will adhere to safety, health, and environmental guidelines and notify the Operations Supervisor of any occurrences that negatively impact production. This position involves operating specialized equipment, including a high-rise/turret truck, and utilizing SAP WM for various warehouse tasks.

Requirements

  • Proficient with tools, programs and equipment needed to perform job duties.
  • Work assignments are fairly routine, and work is closely supervised.
  • Typically, 1 – 2 years of experience (Associate Level).
  • Set-up machines and systems used to complete work (Core Level).
  • Troubleshoot equipment (Core Level).
  • Complete quality inspections (Core Level).
  • Works under general supervision (Core Level).
  • Typically, 2 – 4 years of experience (Core Level).
  • Assist others when complex issues arise in area of expertise (Senior Level).
  • Able to program machines and equipment and has the skills to work in various areas of the manufacturing facility (Senior Level).
  • Works independently to complete assignments (Senior Level).
  • Might interface with Engineering and Quality Technicians to resolve issues or handle special projects/requests (Senior Level).
  • Experience for each level will vary somewhat and depends on Apprenticeship requirements for the sub-categories requiring such training.
  • Regularly required to climb/balance, stoop, kneel, crouch/crawl, bend, stand, handle materials, and manipulate objects.
  • Ability to see objects up close or at a distance, in color, adjust focus, and use peripheral vision regularly.
  • Continuously lifting objects weighing 5lb – 20lb, frequently lifting objects 20lb – 40lb, and occasionally or seldom lifting objects 40lb – 75lb.

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties in the assigned work area, which include machine and specialized equipment operations, mill operations, shipping and receiving, materials handling, warehouse and dock, quality, laser cutting, mold cleaning, high rise/turret truck and others.
  • Set Up, Operate or shut down equipment and run computer programs needed to complete and document work assignments.
  • Follow safety procedures and DRIV’s safety policy at all times. Notify the Operations Supervisor of unsafe or hazardous working conditions immediately.
  • Follow Quality Management System requirements as outlined for the job. Suggests ways for continual improvement for the work unit assigned and to ways to improve efficiencies between work units.
  • Perform visual, and functional inspection according to engineering drawings/specifications and general quality Inspection.
  • Certified or has the ability to be certified to complete 1st article checks.
  • Precisely follow written instructions as outlined on press cards, standard work, or work instructions.
  • 5S Housekeeping and work area cleaning tasks
  • Resolve minor issues that hinder or slow the progress in the work area.
  • Other tasks and assignments consistent with knowledge and training.
  • Work with SAP WM to do put-away based on ticket scanned.
  • Consolidate loads by doing stock transfers in WM SAP.
  • Pick and send product to Packaging and Outbound.
  • Count product lines and pieces in both picking bins and overstock locations using the high-rise lift truck and on-board RF technology.
  • Drive a high-rise lift truck after completing a class and passing an exam on topics such as 3-point center load distribution, weight distribution, safety precautions, and incline procedures. This includes 6-months of practical driving time learning to operate the turret, height override, and use of on-board RF technology to process Consolidations, Put-away, and Picking tasks.
  • Troubleshoot issues with tickets utilizing the SAP system, research mis-placed loads, and double check cycle counts.
