A Production Worker S5 (Production Specialist) in the FPA area, operates equipment and performs processes to build hardware. They are recognized as an expert within their work cell. They possess excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills, and routinely demonstrate an ability to prioritize their work, multitask and schedule their time. They rigorously document the processes performed in electronic tracking systems and execute tasks to ensure that equipment and processes being used are in control. Highly technical work is performed without supervision and these individuals are utilized by area leads and support teams for challenging technical assignments within their areas of expertise. This is an onsite position in Goleta, California. RTX is an aerospace and defense company that provides advanced systems and services for commercial, military and government customers worldwide. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 6 years of production experience in cleanroom fabrication, assembly, manufacturing or equivalent.
  • Has experience in MS Office (Excel)
  • US Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • More than 6 years of production experience in cleanroom fabrication, assembly, manufacturing or equivalent.
  • Experience in Hybridization, Thin Film Deposition, Photolithography, Wet Etch, or other cleanroom Focal Plane Array, fabrication work cells.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Extensive knowledge/certifications for multiple work cells in the FPO area
  • Significant experience with a WIP tracking database.
  • The flexibility to work occasional, voluntary overtime on weekends to meet the factory’s needs is strongly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Active participation in a Safety-First work environment.
  • The ability to work in a class 100 cleanroom, in a full bunny suit, under yellow lights is required.
  • Utilize strong interpersonal communication skills with peers, leads, support teams and management.
  • Handle fragile hardware and manually manipulate small parts during processing.
  • Rigorously follow written procedures and work instructions
  • Document data on travelers and in the electronic database
  • Advanced skills in processing Focal Plane Arrays (Hybridize, Wet Etch, Photomask, Fixturing, Hotplate processing, Surface treatment, Wire bond, Metrology, inspection etc.) to build hardware.
  • Execute challenging technical assignments in their work cell.
  • Multitasking within their assigned work cell.
  • Cross train as necessary to improve area efficiency
