About The Position

The FP&A Specialist - EPNA will play an integral role in providing Corporate, Division, and Business Unit management with reliable financial analysis to make decisions impacting the financial performance of the corporation. This position will be responsible for assisting in the creation of the annual profit plan, monthly forecasts, strategy plans and all accompanying financial/operating metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting.
  • Candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of Moon Township, PA, Highland, IL, Roanoke, VA, Washington, PA, Amarillo, TX, or Syracuse, NY to be considered.
  • Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

  • Financial analysis experience in a manufacturing environment with background in FP&A and/or Plant Controllership
  • Strong business acumen and experience with SAP, Hyperion/HFM, Encore
  • Experience with data analytics software (i.e. Power BI)
  • Effectively leverages functional and cross-functional resources to solve problems, improve processes and meet objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review and analyze financial forecasts, operating budgets and strategic plans.
  • Provide in depth analysis on financial performance and root cause variances to forecasts.
  • Report the daily progress of the business toward the monthly established goals, giving the management team the first line of reporting to trends in the marketplace.
  • Perform detailed SG&A expenditure analysis to identify trends and areas in need of cost control focus. Provide valuable variance analysis to highlight issues or opportunities and promote understanding of necessary changes.
  • Perform Business Unit month-end closing procedures, complete account reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Work collaboratively with the department to propose and implement process improvement ideas to enable more accurate and faster reporting.
  • Analyze Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash flow statements for domestic & international business units.
  • In certain situations, will act as team lead regarding process improvements and evaluations.
  • Strong focus on implementing standard work across the EPNA businesses including documentation for knowledge sharing
  • On an ongoing basis, identify areas of improvement; research best practices, and offer guidance and recommendations for Plant Controllers to process changes and potential solutions
