About The Position

The FP&A Analyst will play a crucial role in our financial planning and analysis department, providing insights and support that will help shape our strategic direction. This position requires a blend of analytical prowess, financial modeling expertise, and a deep understanding of the healthcare industry. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving our financial planning processes, analyzing business performance, and supporting decision-making across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis or related finance/Analytical role.
  • Healthcare experience required (preferably within a physician practice, medical group, hospital, or other healthcare organization).
  • Knowledge of revenue cycle management in the healthcare industry.
  • Experience preparing or analyzing P&Ls, budgets, forecasts, and/or financial variance analyses required.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to problem-solve and be decisive with actions.
  • Currently living in California.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, CMA) is a plus.
  • Prefer candidates with healthcare sector, consulting, or investment banking experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to support decision-making.
  • Analyze financial performance against key business metrics and document pertinent financial highlights that will enable management to determine progress against strategic plans.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly financial variance analyses, identifying trends, and making recommendations for corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring accurate and timely reporting to support business objectives.
  • Lead the financial forecasting process, including KPIs, revenue, and expenses, and capital expenditures, to support short-term and long-term strategic planning.
  • Utilize knowledge of the healthcare industry to analyze market trends, opportunities, and challenges, particularly in relation to revenue cycle management.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support on projects, identifying financial risks and opportunities.
