About The Position

The FP&A Analyst provides insight into organizational financial planning and analysis to support strategic decision-making. The role performs business analysis, planning, forecasting, and variance analysis, and delivers recommendations to the Manager of FP&A. It supports FP&A Business Partners, the Manager of FP&A, and lines of business with financial analysis and planning activities. The position works under general supervision, handles basic issues and problems, refers more complex issues to higher-level staff, and requires beginning to working knowledge of the subject matter. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The position follows a hybrid model with both in-person and remote work, with a minimum onsite expectation of 40% or as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Finance.
0 to 2 years of experience in Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis, or Accounting; equivalent combinations of experience and education are accepted.

Responsibilities

Assist with preparing annual budgets, operating plans, and routine forecasts in consultation with lines of business and FP&A Business Partners.
Develop and maintain tools to support driver-based planning.
Assist with preparing long-term financial plans for strategic decision-making.
Analyze data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations to support informed decision-making across the credit union.
Prepare reporting and analysis comparing actual performance with operating plans.
Assist with reviewing and explaining variances to plan and recommending forecast adjustments as needed.
Perform sensitivity, scenario, and what-if analyses.
Assess the financial impact of changes to business operations, new business opportunities, or acquisitions.
Prepare financial analyses of business case requests and ad hoc analyses, including ROI, NPV, IRR, cost savings, and revenue analysis.
Perform other duties as assigned.
