About The Position

The Fountain Worker is responsible for providing efficient and courteous service to guests, demonstrating salesmanship and friendly hospitality skills. This role requires a high level of professional and personalized guest service.

Requirements

6 months previous barista experience, Starbucks experience preferred.
Effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in a professional manner.
Present a neat and professional appearance.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience interacting with customers, the public, and co-workers.
Experience using a computer and/or cash register.
Previous experience as a barista trainer or training baristas.
Food Handlers certification.
Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
Must be able to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time with frequent bending, stooping, and lifting.
Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25-50 pounds unassisted in the performance of specific tasks as assigned.
Ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.

Responsibilities

Attend team update meetings.
Maintain uniform appearance according to established guidelines.
Adhere to policies, procedures, and Health Department regulations.
Greet guests in a friendly and prompt manner to take orders for food and beverage items.
Use suggestive selling techniques.
Know all menu items.
Know the locations of all Rio outlets and services available to guests.
Obtain, reconcile, and return cash bank at the beginning and end of shift.
Accurately input food and beverage orders into the point-of-Sale system.
Follow cash handling procedures and cash register policies.
Rotate and date all products.
Invite guests back to the outlet.
Relay all guest complaints to the Manager on duty.
Keep work area stocked with needed supplies, neat, clean, and organized.
Prepare all coffee products as needed.
Clean coffee machines daily and as needed.
Follow standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating, and storing all products.
Complete assigned side work.
Turnover/takeover station according to established procedures.
Handle a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks to be managed under time constraints.
Handle heavy business volume and sensitive situations relating to staff and guest problems in a timely manner.
Grasp, hold, reach, bend, push-pull, and/or lift up to 50 lbs.
