Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to work onsite during first shift (3:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.).
Commitment to Safety, Health, and Environmental requirements.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repair of ladles and vessels including relining AOD vessels, bottom-pour ladles, and transfer ladles.
Remove old refractory linings, replace burned bricks, install appropriate refractory materials, and support general refractory duties when vessels are unavailable.
Build, press, and set up stopper rods; maintain operational buffer; build baskets used in ladles.
Prepare wet sand and mix castables for refractory applications.
Position vessels, ladles, and materials using overhead crane; collect and enter operational data; ensure ladles and vessels meet process and quality standards.
Participate actively in lean programs including 6S, Visual Management, and Kaizen to maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.
