Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Ability to read and follow work instructions accurately
Basic proficiency in reading, writing, mathematics, and verbal communication
Strong work ethic with good attendance and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

Prepare sand cores for metal casting by molding and shaping sand mixtures using specific patterns and molds.
Combine sand with binding agents to achieve the desired consistency and durability.
Follow production schedules and ensure cores meet specifications.
Operate industrial mixers and core making machines, adjusting settings.
Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning and calibration of equipment.
Conduct thorough inspections of sand cores using measuring tools and blueprints to identify defects and ensure compliance with design and quality standards.
Participate in morning meetings with the team leader to review production requirements, discuss scrap and rework rates, and communicate shift information.
Work closely with a partner and the wider team to meet production goals.
Demonstrate commitment to zero harm behaviors to support a world-class safety culture.
