Foundry Quality Manager
About The Position
BCI Solutions, Inc. | Bremen, IN | IATF 16949 | Foundry Manufacturing BCI Solutions is hiring a Quality Manager to lead, strengthen, and continuously improve our Quality Management System in a gray and ductile iron foundry environment. This is a leadership role for a decisive, analytical professional who can design systems, enforce standards, and drive measurable improvement across operations. What You Will Own Full leadership of the IATF 16949 & ISO 9001 Quality Management System Strategic improvement of QMS processes and audit readiness Oversight of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC Structured 8D corrective action leadership and systemic prevention Reduction of repeat nonconformances and COPQ Quality KPI design, tracking, and executive reporting Cross-functional accountability with Operations, Engineering, Melt, and Lab Direct leadership and development of the Quality team You will report to the Director of Operational Excellence and serve as the authority on quality system performance. What Success Looks Like Audit readiness is embedded, not reactive Corrective actions close permanently, not temporarily First-time PPAP approvals increase COPQ trends downward Quality standards are respected on the foundry floor Work Style We Value Decisive but data-driven Structured but improvement-oriented Comfortable challenging production when standards are compromised Comfortable on the foundry floor validating process control This is not a maintenance role. It is a performance leadership role.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent manufacturing experience
- Proven experience with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, 8D, SPC
- Experience leading or significantly improving a QMS
- Manufacturing process experience required (foundry or heavy industrial preferred)
- Strong data analysis and documentation discipline
- ERP and reporting systems experience
Nice To Haves
- Blueprint reading and GD&T preferred
- ASQ certifications (CMQ/OE, CQE, CQA) preferred
