About The Position
Fulmer/Perma-Cast is a manufacturer company and distributor of electric motor brush holders and job shop of machined parts. They are actively looking for a Foundry Laborer to assist in the Foundry and make parts for customers. This role involves the proper setup and safe operation of hot metal molds, utilizing foundry principles of metal melting, pouring, solidifying, and handling hot metal. The position also includes inspection of work and following Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Accuracy and responsibility as many duties must be performed without close supervision.
- Minimum 3-6 months on the job training under close supervision.
Nice To Haves
- Training and/or experience using Foundry hot metal Molds including Furnace(s) apparatus is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in the Foundry, making parts for customers.
- Proper Setup and Safe operation of hot metal molds.
- Utilizes Foundry principles of metal melting, pouring (ladling), solidifying and familiar with proper handling opening and closing of hot metal (permanent molds or others).
- Inspection of work.
- Following Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
