About The Position
National Capitol Contracting is seeking a motivated, skilled, and innovative Foundry Developer SME with experience in Foundry, Qlik, Databricks, Power BI, and Python. This position requires an Active Secret Clearance and directly contributes to strengthening the Navy’s digital and operational capabilities. Successful candidates will benefit from substantial training, mentorship, and advancement opportunities. They will be comfortable working with enterprise-scale systems, collaborating with senior Navy and appointed leadership, and developing tools and processes for a wide range of stakeholders. This role is part of the Naval Digital Logistics Acceleration (NDLA) program, a congressionally funded data analytics initiative with NAVSEA, aimed at shaping a more resilient, data-driven Navy of the future. This is a rare opportunity for experienced data professionals to have a measurable impact on national defense and collaborate across complex organizations.
Requirements
- Active Secret Clearance required
- 12+ years of data analytics/engineering/science experience.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry (pipelines/transforms, data modeling/ontology concepts)
- Experience with data extraction and manipulation
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Proven experience building data pipelines and data models
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Qlik, Databricks, and Power BI
Responsibilities
- Design future-state, modern data architecture, pipelining, and analysis for transformation at the enterprise level using advanced cloud architectural principles
- Work with cutting-edge DevOps technologies and develop advanced analytics products
- Apply data pipelining and statistical programming tools to enterprise data to advance and enable key mission outcomes
- Build and optimize data pipelines and transform using Python within Foundry
- Integrate with external systems and APIs and manage data connections
- Implement automated testing
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into technical designs
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and monitor performance and data quality
- Lead code reviews; document solutions and follow best practices
- Other duties as assigned
