About The Position

Eaton’s ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a Foundry Core Maker- 2nd shift. The core hours are 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm. The hourly rate for this position is $22.52 + $1.50/hr shift differential per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Only candidates residing within the immediate area of Syracuse, NY (50 miles) will be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

Plan and perform all required duties to set-up core making machines and produce a variety of shell, isocure, and pepset cores for use in the foundries.
Perform minor repair, adjustments, lubrications, and settings of machines to insure proper operation of the machines as well as, produce a quality part.
Core boxes may need vents added to urethane core boxes and replace existing vents; drill only straight holes on flat surfaces as needed to perform these tasks.
Perform necessary duties to fill sand hoppers as directed or required for machine production and perform core box assembly, prescribed use of rods, or nails for core reinforcement, removal of cores from box.
Clean core and position cores in pan and move cores to designated areas and place on pallets.
Operate fork truck as required in performance of job duties.
Perform a variety of similar or associated duties as required or directed.
Detect and report all defective materials and unusual conditions to proper supervision. Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition.
Maintain visual measurements.
Follow prescribed or standard safety regulations. Administer 5 S’s.
Complete training as assigned.
