Hera is solving a critical gap in healthcare navigation by creating a new profession called 'Hero' – a dedicated senior care expert who educates, coordinates, and advocates for families. While demand is high, the bottleneck is supply. To scale, Hera is building a platform that transforms capable individuals into world-class care experts by unbundling expertise from a single human. This platform captures insights from expert Heroes in the field, turning them into compounding intelligence that enhances user knowledge. The role of design is paramount at Hera, as the company operates in the business of trust, designing for emotionally charged moments. The brand promise is 'care that would only be great enough for our own parents,' which the product must embody and enforce. Hera serves both social workers and nurses, as well as aging parents and their adult children. The product is the central point where trust is built or broken. Hera aims for a product with a 'soul,' making it intuitive for users like grandmothers, while also being opinionated and guiding users effectively. The founding product designer will own three key surfaces: the Hero platform (an AI teammate for Heroes), the family experience (from discovery to retention), and the brand's visual and interaction language. This role reports to the CEO and partners daily with the CTO, working alongside founding engineers and field Heroes. It sits at the intersection of design, product, and research, shaping strategy and defining a new profession.
