About The Position
Sparkle is seeking a visionary Founding Grooming Manager to launch our brand-new Montclair location. This is a rare opportunity to build your own team from scratch, hand-selecting the groomers you want to work with and establishing the culture of a premier new salon. The ideal candidate is a high-level "player-coach" who loves their craft and thrives on the excitement of a new business launch. At Sparkle, our mission is to improve the quality of life for the pets we serve. We prioritize routine wellness and safety over "churning" appointments, ensuring every dog gets the patient, high-quality care they deserve.
Requirements
- Three years of professional grooming experience required.
- Experience running full-service grooming salons, including sales and inventory management.
- Strong knowledge of individual breed standards, breed cuts, and proper scissoring techniques.
- Strong teacher of grooming skills with a knack for developing others.
Responsibilities
- Recruit & Onboard: Hand-select and train your team of Groomers, ensuring they meet your high standards for quality and care.
- Lead by Example: Perform dog grooming services to breed standards while holding your team accountable to those same benchmarks.
- Safety First: Ensure the safety and well-being of every pet and associate, taking immediate action whenever necessary.
- Grow the Business: Assist in setting and achieving monthly goals for sales and memberships.
- Performance Coaching: Develop your team to recommend services and products that truly benefit the pet.
- Client Relations: Communicate with pet parents and resolve customer service issues with professionalism and grace.
