About The Position

As a Founding Engineer, you’ll help shape both our product and our company. You’ll work closely with the founders to design architecture, ship features, and define the product vision. You’ll have real ownership, and your decisions will have lasting impact on our technical and product direction. Beyond just programming, you’ll have the opportunity to co-author and publish novel research, interact with customers directly, and travel to conferences if you so desire. The role offers exposure to the bleeding edge of voice AI, working on next-generation systems that can precisely handle complex hour-long conversations with genuinely human-sounding voices. Responsibilities include improving AI conversation quality, scaling platform infrastructure to handle tens of millions of calls, and building critical user flows for the customer-facing product console. The company has a strong customer pipeline with top polling and market-research firms and has already made over 200,000 calls. The founding team consists of three technical co-founders with backgrounds in CS/AI from Stanford, Yale, and UCLA, who have published in top ML conferences and journals, shipped software to millions, and led large teams at companies like Apple, Google, McKinsey, and VMware. The company has received significant media attention and has been featured in publications like Crunchbase News, Yahoo Finance, Morningstar, Fortune, and WSJ VC Pro, as well as in industry theses from a16z, Greylock, and Google.

Requirements

Strong generalist founding software engineer.
Driven and independent.
Ability to learn quickly.
Hiring across both frontend & backend roles.
Strong technical skills in frontend, backend, distributed systems, or AI/ML (bonus if you’ve worked with speech/voice systems).
Product-minded: care deeply about user experience and design.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience building and shipping products in a startup or fast-paced environment.
