About The Position
Founding Engineer (AI / Full Stack) San Francisco, USA (Relocation + Visa Sponsorship) $130,000 – $160,000 + Equity Revive Recruitment are proud to be partnered with an early-stage AI / HR Tech start-up backed by pre-seed funding, building next-generation AI agents to transform how companies connect with talent. This is a high-impact founding-level hire, working directly with the founders to build and scale core systems from the ground up. This is a unique, high-impact opportunity suited to engineers who enjoy fast-paced startup environments, are open to relocating to San Francisco, and comfortable working in an office-first, highly collaborative setup.
Requirements
- Strong full-stack engineering experience (frontend + backend)
- Experience building and shipping production systems under real-world load
- Hands-on experience with LLMs beyond prompting (e.g. embeddings, RAG, agent-based systems)
- Proven ability to operate in fast-paced startup environments (0→1 builds, high ownership)
- Fluent English + German citizenship
- Willingness to relocate to San Francisco (visa sponsored)
- Comfortable living and working in a hacker-house / office-first environment

Responsibilities
- Own and build core product systems including candidate data infrastructure, AI-driven conversation systems, and real-time matching engines
- Ship full-stack features into production daily with end-to-end ownership (TypeScript / React)
- Design scalable pipelines for resume parsing, skill extraction, and high-volume outbound messaging (10K+ daily)
- Build and optimise LLM-powered agents for candidate engagement, scheduling, and Q&A
- Improve performance of matching systems with sub-100ms query response times
- Work directly with founders on architecture, product direction, and scaling strategy
- Ensure reliability, monitoring, and rapid iteration across the platform
