About The Position
Credal is seeking its first design hire to define the design function within the company. This role will focus on translating complex enterprise software, built on frontier AI, into a clear and understandable user experience. The primary goal is to bridge the gap between the product's capabilities and user comprehension, making sophisticated machinery feel simple. Requirements
- Ability to think in systems and translate deep user needs into reusable patterns.
- Skill in synthesizing strategy and user needs into a visual story.
- Strong opinions about type, layout, motion, and information density.
- Excitement for enterprise, technical, and developer-facing products.
- Ability to make complicated concepts feel simple.
- Desire for the range and ownership found in a small company.
- Approximately 70% design and 30% code.
- Self-sufficient in prototyping and iterating on frontend-specific production changes.
- Proficiency in coding enough to be dangerous in a design context.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the AI or enterprise software space.
- Experience with complex data systems, agent registries, or governance policies.
Responsibilities
- Translate company strategy and user needs into visual language, specifically product UI and user stories.
- Own and evolve the design system, including rules, components, patterns, and principles.
- Author front-end code for building and maintaining the design system, prototyping ideas, and shipping polish.
