Founders Associate, NYC

Marloo•New York City, NY
•Onsite

About The Position

Marloo is building an AI partner for financial advisors, with the goal of creating the system used by advice firms around the world. The company reports more than 1,200 paying firms across nine countries, almost zero churn, average revenue growth of 37% month over month, and a $10 million seed round led by Blackbird Ventures. Founders Associates work directly with Marloo’s founders on the company’s most important work. They are embedded with a small team in the founders’ office and have visibility into major company decisions. The role involves taking ownership of high-priority initiatives across functions, addressing work that has no clear owner, and carrying out responsibilities that would otherwise fall to a founder. Associates will see the company scale across multiple markets and take ownership of parts of that growth within weeks. The position is based in the New York City office, five days a week, and includes travel.

Requirements

  • Two to four years of experience at a top-tier consulting, investment banking, private equity, or high-growth technology firm, operating in a demanding role.
  • A STEM or similarly quantitative degree.
  • Strong quantitative ability, including market sizing, decision modeling, and evaluating data.
  • Proficiency with AI tools such as Claude, Codex, or Cursor, integrated into regular work.
  • Ability to automate repeatable work and avoid solving the same problem repeatedly.
  • Clear ownership, comfort acting without complete information, and ability to correct course quickly.
  • Precise writing and communication, ability to engage senior stakeholders, and ability to earn an engineering team’s trust.
  • Ability to translate complex material for different audiences, build cross-functional alignment, and earn trust internally.
  • Curiosity about financial advice and how advice firms are structured, regulated, and paid.
  • Willingness to work in the NYC office five days a week and travel.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the founders on important commercial and customer initiatives.
  • Investigate problems, develop a point of view, build business cases, and present recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Turn decisions into plans with named owners and timelines, and keep engineering, product, and go-to-market teams moving through launch.
  • Represent Marloo with senior leaders at its largest firms and serve as their contact when a founder is not present.
  • Use quantitative analysis to size markets, model decisions, and assess whether data is reliable.
  • Bring customer and field insights into the product roadmap.
  • Identify and take ownership of work that has no existing owner.
  • Talk to customers as part of the broader team.
