About The Position

Syensqo's Foundations for the Future Industrial development program, now in its 26th year, offers ambitious new engineers the opportunity to take on exciting and challenging assignments at any of our industrial sites throughout the United States. Foundations for the Future is specifically designed for entry-level graduates in Chemical or Mechanical engineering. You will be extensively involved from day one in hands-on field work and advanced analytical problem-solving in chemical manufacturing environments around the country. This program’s rotations are designed to last between 18-24 months and relocate 2-3 times within our industrial sites. You’ll become a valuable member of the Syensqo family and within five years, you will be prepared to take on key responsibilities in our future manufacturing and business roles. We are seeking individuals who demonstrate high potential through their academic accomplishments, extracurricular involvement and solid internship experience. We value dynamic team players who are flexible, innovative and eager to tackle new challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering obtained between December 2024 and Spring/Summer 2025
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Successful completion of an internship or co-op assignment in a relative environment (Specialty Chemical, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Pulp & Paper, or Food & Beverage industries)
  • Demonstrated a commitment to participating in a rotational program that will require relocation as you move through assignments
  • Fluency in English is mandatory
  • Ability to solve complex engineering problems
  • Strong analytical skills
  • MS Office and Google Suite knowledge

Nice To Haves

  • Any other language is a plus
  • Familiarity with SAP or PI Process books is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Successfully implement and lead production performance improvement projects
  • Provide support to the engineering department in various fields (safety/environment, quality, capacity, competitiveness)
  • May manage a team of technicians
  • Analyze and improve current processes
  • Manage industrial and manufacturing excellence projects
  • Ensure process safety and product quality within the unit
  • Evaluate current work procedures/methods and propose, describe, test, and implement improvements, new techniques, and methods
  • Provide specialized maintenance tasks and expertise
  • Be responsible for reliability & cost improvement projects and advising on failure analyses
  • Interact and work with investment projects, taking up the coordination between the different stakeholders (internal and external), and the control of the production of engineering deliverables (internal or subcontracted)
  • Perform specific missions about project execution
  • Deploy the research & innovation strategy for one’s own perimeter
  • Potentially manage and deliver a portfolio of R&I projects
