THE ROLE A Foundation Room Barback will be responsible for responsible for the maintenance, stocking, and cleanliness of the bar area, and other additional functions to increase efficiency and productivity for the bar crew.

Requirements

Applicants for employment in the U.S. must possess work authorization which does not require sponsorship by the employer for a visa

Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or Equivalent (paid training will be provided)
Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs. using proper lifting techniques

Nice To Haves

High School diploma or equivalent
Experience in a high volume, fast paced work environment
Willing to commute to downtown area (discounted $7 parking available daily)

Responsibilities

Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through your work area during shift
Follow House of Blues safety, health, and sanitation standards
Assist other employees as needed
Follow opening and closing procedures, checking out with manager on duty
Adhere to all HOB policies and procedures
Ensure responsible alcohol service per local ordinance and HOB alcohol policies
Request proper identification for anyone appearing under 30 years of age
Recognize when guests are becoming too intoxicated and refuse further service of alcohol in a courteous and safety-minded manner, bringing it to the attention of a manager
Required to occasionally work special events scheduled within the venue
Handle side duties including stocking ice bins, liquor, beer, wine, and coolers, including lifting/moving up to 25 lbs.
Clean and assist with maintaining bar equipment
Put all trash and recyclable products in proper receptacles
Ensure responsible alcohol service per local ordinance and HOB alcohol policies
Ensure that trash containers are clean, free of odor and lined, operating the trash compactor per policy
