About The Position

Sample Supports is seeking compassionate, stable, and committed individuals and families to open their homes to children and youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). As a foster parent with Sample Supports, you’ll have the opportunity to provide a safe, supportive home to a child who needs consistency, connection, and someone in their corner. You’ll also receive competitive monthly compensation, extensive training, 24/7 support, clinical expertise, and access to skilled respite providers. You won’t be doing this alone. Our team is here to support you every step of the way. To be considered for this role, you must complete the Culture Index Survey (link here). This is not a test - there are no right or wrong answers. It helps us build well-balanced teams and match people with roles where they can thrive. Foster parents provide children with a safe and nurturing home while they are unable to live with their biological families. The goal may be reunification with family or another permanent placement plan. Children in foster care range from infants to teenagers, and placements may last anywhere from several months to several years. Sample Supports specializes in supporting children and youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities and higher behavioral support needs. Some children may have experienced significant trauma and may communicate their needs through challenging behaviors, including verbal or physical aggression. We are looking for foster parents who can respond with patience, consistency, compassion, and a willingness to learn.
