About The Position

Foster Family Services Consultant in Omaha, NE. This is a full-time position with primary weekday shifts and an on-call rotation, requiring some early mornings and evenings. The role involves developing service plans, guiding foster families, and ensuring children thrive. Boys Town is seeking individuals passionate about supporting children and families to help place children in safe, supportive foster homes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in Human Services or related field
• 1+ year experience working with children and families
• Ability to provide own transportation to complete travel requirements of job
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Pass an annual Motor Vehicle Registration (MVR) check
• Meet auto insurance requirements established by Boys Town policy and/or State and Local laws
• Available to work non-traditional business hours including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work in high-stress situations and diverse environments
• Must travel to homes and community settings, including those with pets or poor living conditions

Responsibilities

• Coordinate foster care placements and develop individualized service plans
• Set and evaluate short- and long-term goals for each child
• Monitor and support foster families through regular visits and training
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and community professionals
• Respond to client emergencies and assist in reunification or aftercare services
• Provide crisis response
• Carry out activities and behaviors that reflect the values and principles of the Boys Town mission
