Foster Care Review Specialist (SOS Temporary)
About The Position
The Nebraska Foster Care Review Office (FCRO) is seeking dedicated individuals to join a caring team committed to creating meaningful change, improving outcomes, and supporting hopeful futures for children and families involved in Nebraska’s child welfare system. In this role, you will evaluate case information, facilitate review meetings, prepare legal reports, collect and analyze data, and collaborate with a wide range of child welfare partners to support accountability and positive outcomes for youth and families. This is a temporary assignment with the Nebraska Foster Care Review Office, anticipated to continue through September 30 (9/30).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, human development, mental health care, education, criminal justice or other closely related area AND two years of performing case management or case review functions OR a higher degree in a related field of study
- Knowledge of Nebraska’s Child Welfare System
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Sound critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- An appetite for learning and professional growth
- Compassion, integrity, and commitment to serving children and families
- Enthusiasm, flexibility, and the ability to manage deadlines effectively
- The ability to collaborate productively with diverse stakeholders
- Strong organization and attention to detail
