About The Position

The Foster Care Home Finder/Recruiter is responsible for recruiting and assessing potential foster homes, including training and case management throughout the certification process. The role helps ensure that every child in foster care has a safe, healthy, and nurturing foster home. The position also maintains certified foster homes, including recertifying each home and ensuring agency and state standards are met within their licensure.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Two years of experience with child welfare, social work, or similar experience required.
Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain insurability throughout employment required.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree in Human Services or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Actively recruit potential foster parents in the community.
Participate in developing an active foster parent recruitment plan.
Handle inquiries and applications from potential foster parents.
Facilitate orientation meetings and complete home studies for all recommended foster homes.
Complete paperwork for the certification process.
Create and maintain detailed, accurate, and timely written reports on all homes in the caseload.
Assist and support foster parents in meeting challenges and achieving success through administrative meetings, referrals for additional services, or other interventions as necessary.
Serve as the point of contact for foster families on the assigned workload.
Maintain certified foster homes, including recertification and ensuring agency and state standards are met within their licensure.
