About The Position

This role involves providing individual counseling to program youth and family counseling to support permanency goals. The clinician will complete an initial assessment and treatment plan, and continue to develop and implement treatment plans as required. This involves partnering with staff, clients, and their families, and providing transition and discharge planning as appropriate. This is a hybrid role with 20% remote work.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling or related field required.
  • License eligible (LCSW, LMHC-A, LMFT-A, etc.) or licensure preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role required.
  • Knowledge of family dynamics, substance abuse, and/or crisis intervention preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking and time-management skills.
  • Must be able to work weekends and on call as needed.
  • Basic computer skills required; knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
  • Ability to communicate and effectively interact with a diverse population.
  • Collaboration and teamwork.
  • Must have valid driver's license, auto insurance and car registration.
  • Must authorize Child & Family to complete a motor vehicle records check.
  • The ideal candidate will be required to meet all background checks and medical clearances required for the position.

Responsibilities

  • Work on a multidisciplinary team to service foster youth and families with the goal of stabilizing placement and creating pathways for permanency.
  • Provide support to client and/or families sessions per the requirements of the assigned treatment model.
  • Provide services with a variance of days/hours designed to respond to the client/family needs/schedule.
  • Observe appropriate personal and professional boundaries and adhere to professional code of ethics.
  • Provide the collateral of the required documents per the specific contract and/or grant requirements or state and federal standards.
  • Provide all services required by the referral agency and adhere to FFT and Medicaid documentation.
  • Participate in, and guides when appropriate, the monthly meeting or treatment team meetings.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders, DCYF, schools and community providers on behalf of foster youth, their families and natural support.
  • Participate in the Functional Family Therapy (FFT) Model of care, utilizing trauma informed lens in the therapeutic change process.
