About The Position

KVC Missouri Community-Based Services is seeking a Foster Care Case Manager to work primarily in the Springfield, MO and surrounding communities. Responsibilities

  • Maintain detailed, timely, and professional documentation while managing multiple deadlines and responsibilities.
  • Gather information, assess situations, identify concerns, and make thoughtful decisions based on the needs and best interests of children and families.
  • Remain calm and professional during difficult conversations, work through disagreements, and help identify solutions when situations are challenging.
  • Clearly communicate with children, families, foster parents, schools, service providers, courts, and other professionals.
  • Establish trust and maintain professional relationships with families, children, and community partners, even when circumstances are difficult.
  • Manage appointments, meetings, documentation, case responsibilities, and competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Approach complex situations with curiosity, sound judgment, and a solution-focused mindset.
  • Feel comfortable working in the community and managing responsibilities while knowing when to seek guidance or support.
  • Be open to coaching, supervision, and ongoing professional development.
  • Understand different perspectives, identify needs, and work toward solutions that support safety, stability, and permanency.
