Requirements

• BA/BS degree from an accredited College or University in Social Work, or a related Human Services field of study.
• 2+ years of experience in Human Services/Mental Health field.
• Must meet North Carolina standard requirements to be a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP).
• Knowledge of state and federal laws, regulations, and practices related to the Family Foster Care program.
• Must have an appropriate and valid state driver’s license and be able to meet requirements for Eckerd’s Auto Insurance and be able to drive for business purposes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular home visits and schedule structured monthly check-ins with foster parents.
• Provide ongoing guidance, crisis mitigation, and vital community resources.
• Champion the safety, permanency, and overall well-being of children in foster care.
• Monitor situations closely, intervene swiftly during challenges, and fiercely advocate for the child’s best interests.
