Fossil Plant Outage Planner
About The Position
WECTEC Staffing Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Westinghouse Electric Company LLC, is seeking a Fossil Plant Outage Planner on behalf of their client. This is a 6-month to 1-year contract assignment (W-2) where the individual will join the Central Maintenance Planning team to support overhaul planning of the Combined Cycle Power Generation Fleet. This role involves routine interface with site personnel, fleet engineering, and the central maintenance organization. The position is planned to be based out of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, but working from one of the Fossil Sites within Florida will be considered based on experience and capabilities, requiring hiring manager approval.
Requirements
- Prior Power Plant Maintenance and Planning experience
- Experience with IBM Maximo
- Bachelor's in engineering
- Technical procedure writing proficiency
- Possession of a Quality Belt
- Project Management Professional Certification
Responsibilities
- Manage a large workload, flexibility when priorities shift, and drive to meet (or beat) established Major Maintenance Process commitments.
- Development of job specific Mechanical Maintenance Work Order packages for Overhaul Projects.
- Performing jobsite walk-downs and scope validation.
- Supporting procurement of materials and services.
- Develop procedures for execution of work.
- Establishing accurate work order cost and schedule estimates.
