Forward Deployment Engineer

BradoSt. Louis, MO
Hybrid

About The Position

Brado AI was created to help health systems transform how they connect, guide and care for patients. Built on our DNA of insight, empathy and trust, we scale our legacy through purpose-built, provider anchored AI. We are currently looking for a Forward Deployment Engineer to join our Delivery team. The Deployment Engineer leads the deployment of our Conversational Engagement Platform (CEP) across health system clients. This role is responsible for translating defined requirements into fully configured production-ready environments. They configure system behavior, workflows, AI prompt frameworks, integrations, and client-specific environments—ensuring CEP operates reliably, integrates seamlessly (e.g., with Epic), and aligns to real-world operational workflows. This role is focused on execution—building, testing, and maintaining scalable implementations within a standardized platform architecture. This is a client-facing role—working directly with health system stakeholders (e.g., digital, access, clinical, IT) to gather requirements, validate configurations, and ensure successful deployment and ongoing performance. Ideal candidates for this role will live in the St. Louis, MO metro area. Our Delivery team gathers in person several times each week to discuss client work, partner on projects and work together in our collaboration center located in "The Grove" neighborhood.

  • Bachelor's degree in data science, machine learning, computer science or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in implementation engineering, solutions engineering or system configuration roles
  • Experience working with health care systems and/or providers
  • Understands healthcare operations and integrations with Epic and other EHRs
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities

  • Familiar with version control tools such as Git
  • Comfortable using the terminal; experience with scripting languages like Python
  • Production experience working with LLM-based systems, including prompt configuration, evaluation, and output validation
  • Experience translating requirements into structured workflows or rule-based systems
  • Ability to manage multiple implementations and timelines simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Configure CEP environments for each client, including system settings, workflow orchestration, and deployment configurations
  • Translate documented requirements into structured configurations within the platform
  • Manage environment setup, versioning, and release readiness across implementations
  • Configure and adapt AI prompts within the CEP prompt framework using client-specific parameters, routing rules, and content variants
  • Ensure prompt configurations align with standardized templates, guardrails, and system behavior
  • Avoid prompt fragmentation by maintaining consistency with core platform logic and reusable patterns
  • Test and validate prompt performance within configured workflows to ensure predictable, controlled outputs
  • Implement routing logic across care settings (e.g., primary care, urgent care, specialty) based on defined rules
  • Configure escalation pathways and decision logic aligned to clinical and operational requirements
  • Ensure workflows reflect real-world access, scheduling, and service line operations
  • Configure and support integrations with EHR systems (primarily Epic)
  • Enable capabilities such as scheduling, provider lookup, and data exchange
  • Partner with engineering and client IT teams to validate data flows, authentication, and system performance
  • Execute end-to-end testing of workflows, integrations, and prompt configurations
  • Execute validation protocols defined by cross-functional teams (e.g., clinical, product, compliance) to ensure outputs align to expected behavior
  • Support UAT (user acceptance testing) and ensure production readiness
  • Maintain and update configurations as workflows, integrations, or requirements evolve
  • Troubleshoot issues related to system behavior, integrations, or configuration errors
  • Implement enhancements in a controlled, scalable way across clients
  • Operate within defined clinical safety frameworks; do not independently establish clinical logic or safety thresholds
  • Execute validation and testing protocols defined by clinical and cross-functional leadership
  • Adhere to all data privacy and security requirements, including HIPAA compliance and proper handling of PHI
